Good debut, pretty much hit the ground running and brought a lot of his Bundesliga form straight into his first competitive game.



He is one of the signings that I have no concerns about tbh, just pair him with a steady partner and he will churn out consistent performances at a similar rate to Clyne.

Looked a bit shakey the first 10mins or so but when he settled down he looked great, lets hope he can keep that going.

Yeah Carra went through his performance and said pretty much that. Passing was bit erratic and looked nervous but grew into the game. Though he had a very good second half.

the way him and Lovren bullied that gormless cunt Kane to the bench was lovely. Good signs, was a bit worried about Lovren moving to the left but apart from a couple of fouls he was faultless.

I believe that's actually his natural position. My only worry with that line up is its a little unbalanced what with Millie being right footed also ...

still I think we have looked really solid as a unit for a long time now ... I honestly think once we drop Migs will push on to the next level ... I just think even though he plays well and does a lot of things right .. the world and its mother know he'll give you a chance at least once a game .. not sure coming off your line for the goal against Danny Rose was the answer it almost makes it easier for him to score

I thought Migs did the right thing by closing the angles but it was a 'coward's save' in that he sort of flung himself rather than stand and make himself big. Rose just hit it hard and low and hoped for the best. A goalie should always make the shooter think about going high so he skies it.

Home debut and I don't think he put a foot wrong. He is exactly the sort of defender we have been missing. Puts his foot through it when he had to, plays out when he can. A great addition and we got him for free I'm sure he'd be getting more attention if we'd paid £30m for him.

Played well - good to have someone commanding in the air at the back too.

Just slightly disappointed he didn't take the ball into midfield, or even attempt to. He did it brilliantly at Schalke, (often followed up by a needle splitting pass between the channels) which gives the opposing team something different to think about.
