Swelling on the knee doesnt necessarily mean ACL it could be anything - torn meniscus etc...

The way he collapsed when coming off suggests torn meniscus or strained medial or lateral ligaments to me. ACL on it's own shouldn't have bothered him after the initial tear. Lets hope mild medial/lateral strain.
Really hoping it's not ACL. Not only because of the recovery time, but his speed is his greatest asset and he might never come back as quick.

Am I the only one relieved there is swelling? I know that sounds ridiculous but isn't that the body going into repair mode, meaning its something the body thinks it can repair on its own early - as opposed to a tear or a break?
I will even clutch at the concept of a straw when it comes to Mane.
One tit for another.

From experience, from worse the swelling the worse the injury..Originally posted by BigChief View PostAm I the only one relieved there is swelling? Just have to pray it's not as serious as most of us fear. ACL, would be a disaster because despite people, in the past, banging on about technology being so advanced when it comes to repairing a torn acl, I am yet to see any player who had devastating pace, ever get that back again. They may still be quick, but you notice straight away that yard of pace has gone.
