have a bad feeling about tonight now.....wish we were playing a chelsea or arsenal instead of Bournemouth!!!

A lot of people said our squad wasn't strong enough this season. I thought that we would be fine considering that we are not playing in europe but injuries to Mane, Coutinho, Lallana, Henderson, Matip, Lovren - plus the long term Ings injury - have all shafted us at various points this season. And that doesn't include the Sturridge one-more-year project.

What is frustrating is that I think we have the best team - just our squad depth has let us down. And results against Hull, Swansea, Sunderland, West Ham, Bournemouth are what has cost us #19 this season.

What is positive is that our team will improve and our squad will too.

Hopefully we will still make CL this season - I think we will - and then we can kick on.

With a bit of luck we really could have won the League this season. Even with all that going against us, if we win tonight and Chelsea were to lose we'd only be 7 points off the top.

In the article James Pearce did say no decision will made for another 48hrs as we want to wait for the swelling to go down and then do another scan. It's not a foregone conclusion that he will need an operation. Keep praying!

It sounds ridiculous but tonight is the biggest game of the season. And then every one thereafter will be the same. ****ing massive for the short term future of the club.

Also going to **** up Arsenal and United's buying opportunities in the summer too. Imagine United not making top 4 and us getting Greizmann

i'd argue now is the time for Sturridge to shine - if he has any hopes or ambitions of ever playing for big club/making a big name for himself then this his chance....

if he can get fit - play the remaining 8 games and come up with 5/6 goals and help us finish 4th then just maybe he may save his career.......probably not with us, i'd say that ship has sailed......but if he contributed something at the tail end of the season it might get some interest for some decent clubs....

if he doesn't get fit/contribute then imo he's virtually just resigning himself to playing for west ham or stoke

time to step up and leave at the end of the season with his head held up high ( not too high or he will strain his neck) and we can think it could have turned out so much better if he wasnt made of glass.
