What I posted previously, with two years left on the deal a club should be making a decision at that point. Even if there is one player in the situation of running down their contract how do we end up with three?

Two years out? That's not really too realistic imo.

You also need to remember that almost all of the senior management team in that time have changed. Imo, getting that right again going forward was the priority.

The problem was from Summer 2023 to summer 2024, we didn’t have a functional Sporting Director set up. Instead we had Klopp being assisted in recruitment by his transfer secretary Jorg Schmadtke, and a void when it came to handling the major contract renewals.

To be fair to FSG, they were well aware that it had become a mess and made sure that they took the opportunity to re-establish a defined Sporting Director with Head Coach model.

To answer you and Dom9. I have no interest in making excuses for multimillionaire investor owners. I'm sure the way they conduct business they focus on results and getting it done. Whatever conditions existed that caused this, the buck stops with them.
