What does any of that matter? He got injured, could have happened in any game.

No point him going with England anyway, Southgate has no idea how to use him. He’ll be fit and fresh for next season.

This was TAA's chance to prove to Southgate that not only did he deserve to be in the squad, but that he should be in the first 11. Unfortunate that he was injured, but in no way Southgate's fault...with City, Chelsea and United players sitting this one out, no surprise to see Trent play.

I couldn't care less about England, but the players clearly do, so I hope it's not too serious and that he makes to the competition.

I'm either a jinx or this was incredibly predictable after the circus around his selection!

Said it to a mate before kick off it's a nap he picks up an injury.

Hopefully its minor and he manages to play in the Euro's, I'd rather he got a rest this summer but he clearly wants to be there.

Also why the **** is Henderson there. Southgate said he was training in the morning and didnt play because he felt something. He hasnt played for us in months. Are they purposely trying to break players so they can say hey we didnt do too well in the tournament because some of our best players were injured. ****ing joke.

my guess is that vvd could have pushed to be available for the tournament, but realized that doing so would jeopardize his recovery, and he prioritized being in his best shape for next season. Wish Henderson had done the same.
