Do we take Trent's quality for granted now?

Thought he was excellent yesterday and looked a lot more mature (in all senses). A bit like Mo, he looks like a man on a mission this season.

I think so. He’s on a big boy contract and is a PL and CL winner. He’s a senior player and one of the most important in the squad, particularly to the way we play. At 22 years old.

I know that Jon Flanagan was referred to as the Scouse-Cafu. Trent has the genuine potential to be a Scouse Maldini. At 22 years old, his career to date is on a much higher trajectory than any player in the history of LFC.

Hopefully the last 2 games has put to bed the notion that Trent isn't a great FB.

A few years ago City targeted him in the CL, every attack sent down his side trying to get Sane (the in form player in England at that time) on the ball at every opportunity. They got nothing out of him. Unfortunately they had a lot more joy the other week when he was missing.

Today he was just exquisite. Didn't have much defending to do, but everything he did do was top drawer.

He's been absolutely phenomenal this season IMO and is peerless in his position on current form.

Don't think anyone with a clue suggested Trent isn't the real deal but his form has been up and down in recent times (he's not the only one obviously) doesn't help that we don't have a proper second RB to give TAA a rest when needed but yep today Trent like Bobby and Mane looked back to their best or very close to it
