Top class yesterday. If Diaz had managed to squeeze his shot under Mendy it would of been one of the best goals of any FA Cup final. Small margins.

I reckon he makes fewer mistakes than Robertson defensively now. And Robbo doesn’t make many.

Trent needs to play it simple sometimes. He kept giving the ball away. Caught out on the goal, and looked knackered when he had to track back. Absolutely sleeping on the goal.

That goal allowed by Trent was inexcusable, that was basic defending.

I dont think it helps that he has no viable backup to low us to rest him. If the midfield chipped in a few more assists in might help too. We seem too reliant on him going forward.

I don't think Vinicius Junior's wing play had much impact on the game; he was largely contained by the superb Konate, with a few supplemental interventions from Trent. The player ghosting in unnoticed at the far post could have been anybody really; it wasn't a goal peculiar to Vinicius Junior's skill set, so it's even more annoying to be undone by basic subpar defending rather than being bested by a moment of impossible-to-defend pace/skill.

Trent played ok today, was particularly good defensively I thought and kept Vinicius quiet and was a threat upfront. Was a 7 out of 10 for me which wasn’t bad.

You can look at a scapegoat for today but no one really was guilty for us losing. We’ve played well enough to win it.
