The Trent conversation is coming to a head now. He isn’t a right back, costs us defensively in big games and is unreliable. He needs protecting and everyone targets him yet we play Harvey Elliot in front of him. I just don’t get the logic.
[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
He is forcing it so much - trying the low percentage ball virtually all the time. Great when it comes off but invariably it doesn’t - he has such good technique that if he kept it simple with his quality that it’s good enough to hurt teams
He will come hood because he is too good not to but he can seem so casual sometimes
Personally I think we move Trent into midfield and save the £100m it will take to buy Bellingham. He’s got a decent pass, a good engine and he can shoot from distance. The issue is that his feet aren’t quite quick enough and he takes too long to make decisions.
But the right back thing needs thinking about. I think he’s probably ready to move inside too.

I don't see there being a problem with him moving inside whilst playing right back - look at what City are doing. We need to do something anyway, our buildup play when teams get in our faces (Fulham and United for example) is hopeless at times. We look hemmed in and have no real clue what to do
