Gomez there negates any sort of attacking threat or production from a position in which we usually thrive. At least Timmy will attempt to do that, Gomez just doesn't have it in his locker.

It was a bit odd as he played the full 90mins vs Arsenal but I don’t think it was a complete ruse as he probably felt something after the game and it needed rest/recovery rather than a week away training.
