Shame his stunning bit of play was ruined by a human error.

He was targeted for the first 15 minutes and couldn't cope with it and could have cost us a couple of goals. He did manage to steady himself up after this though and he got better.
        Are we winning?

To be fair we just about managed to do that after the last game & Albert had a decent game. Trent has been targeted pretty much ever since United had some success with their long ball tactics last season. As has been said Trent is young & quality, he'll come good.

Was a strange game for him. I can't remember him dribbling past opposition defenders in the attacking 3rd like he did in this game while at the same time looking so fragile defensively.

If he can become more consistent in his defence while being as dangerous dribbling with the ball in the final 3rd he is going to be one of the best.

Maybe full-back really isn't his final position? I'm still quietly hoping we get a Gerrard type ( and quality ) player out of him in the future, he really does have a lot of the attributes to be a good midfielder, and it's supposedly his natural position. Granted, he was ****e the two times he started there.

He was poor but this was compounded by the fact that Arsenal were targeting this side. Fabinho/Gini should have helped him more but with Fabinho having a mare and Gini having to do extra to cover for him, this just didn't happen enough.

Trent was terrible the only thing I will say is he didnt cost us a goal

When Moreno makes mistakes they invariably lead to us conceding

Well done TAA, just got his first for England, and what a corker too

Was outstanding, that's exactly the way he should play for us getting higher up the pitch and in better areas to impact the game. He has been so incredibly wasteful on times with his crossing for us (he has lovely strike of a ball too which is even more annoying!) as he is far too deep when attempting a cross. Look at Robbo, bursts forward right to the byline and just seems so much more progressive than Trent at the moment. Trent has a lot of defensive lapses but you could forgive them if he was producing more up assists and some goals.

He's so young that it is hard to criticise but when you see such potentially, it can be frustrating when it's taking time for him to shine. I do think he needs to bulk up a bit too.

For me he wins vs them - maybe only de Ligt challenges him

In terms of achievement, it has to be TAA -

                              Champions League finalist
                              World Cup semi finalist
                              Regular in league challenging side

I think his form has dropped slightly from last season, just as Gomez has turned into worldclass defender (on form). I dont know if it increases or decreases the pressure on Trent, but it starts to raise expectations on a defence composed of kids.

I still have no idea how we can fix such a ****e defence with so many youngsters. Klopps genius, I guess. My only fear would be burnout, because that back four can only get better as it gets older. Its frightening, really. They have not even played together for a year.

I guess considering Trent is not considered a proper fullback, this nomination speaks to how much potential the kid has.

I keep trying not to get excited, but it has been so long since a top class youth team player has come through after a continuous stream of good to "best of their generation" players dried up for a decade.

At least we have a manager who you feel will give these players the best chance of breaking through
