Not so sure he will burn bridges if he goes on a free. His contribution to the team when he was flying would not be lessened in my eyes and I am sure in the eyes of many others.


Would it be gutting to lose a talented player like him, a local lad? Yeah of course, but we have lost world class talents time and again in the past only for a new talent to emerge soon after.


Think seeing top class players leave their clubs on a free is just going to get more and more common and is not like it has not been happening a lot in recent seasons too.


Even looking at the current season we have three big names in VVD, TAA and Salah all potentially able to leave on a free.

Bayern Munich have Davies, Kimmich and Sane.

Spurs have Son.

Lille have Gomes and David.

Kimmich is an interesting one - think he is such an incredible player, and can play across multiple positions, but would worry that the pace and physicality of the Premier League would take so long to adjust to, he’d be on the way down by the time he worked it out
