Does at times play like a guy who knows he is leaving.


Not that he is phoning in performances but more lacking in being in synch with the rest of the team. Is like he is still looking for the runs that get made in a Klopp team and not adapting to the often shorter passing of Slot's current set up.

Today and against Leipzig his passing was often poor and he would often miss seeing the obvious simple pass.

A few times Slot appeared to point at him after such a pass was not made.

Don't think his comments about that should be used as a stick to beat him with to be honest.

He will probably never win it, defenders rarely do and especially hard at Real where the spotlight is going to be on their attackers, but nothing at all wrong with having the ambition to win it.


Think Cannavaro is the only defender I can recall winning it. In he modern era anyway.
