And a very busy backline on the right flank.

Unknown, unless that trio get played together enough times next season for us to find out.

he is the only one that will look to pick a pass in between the spaces and can pick a pass that none of the current lads can even see. He's miles ahead of all the lads technically but just like most of his career, his body has let him down.

If money wasn't an issue & we could get in two more mids along with Mac, keep Thiago and use him sparingly managing his mins .. then that's a dream scenario butttttt with LFC money is an issue. "If" those wages need to be freed up for someone who can cope with the physicality of the league & be fit and ready, then imo it makes sense to move him on. The most interesting thing about our midfield is what to do with Trent as he looks outstanding in that position. Could we just get one more mid, keep Thiago and concentrate on a new fullback instead?

I think he'd possibly be a lot better in a different side, but his contribution here isn't great. Overrated not because he's ****, but because a lot of people think he's the best thing since sliced bread. I've been massively underwhelmed by him, and then you have his injury record.

If a decent offer came in I'd bite their hands off. Overrated because people lose their **** when anyone dares to criticise him, such is the cult of Thiago.
You’ve got a very very short memory if you think he’s the most over rated player we’ve ever had signed. He’s a smart player that can unlock parked bus teams like no other LFC player until TAA got the move into midfield. I understand your frustration about his injuries , we all do but there’s not a chance he’s over rated.

I think Thiago will have to be managed better in regard to playing time if he's not sold this summer.
He's becoming more injury prone as he gets older so is that from overplaying him? if so, the management team at LFC is gonna have to use him better.
He's a cracking player to have in the squad so to get the best use of him, play him in the big games that matter (vs Top 6 etc) & change tactics/use Hendo in the lesser games etc to ensure his availability.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Though if I was looking to try and replace Thiago then Barella is not a name that would spring to mind for me.

Barella is the guy to bring in to give us what Henderson at his peak gave us at RCM with a little extra on tiop.

To replace Thiago, whilst very few if any like of like players are out there, we would need a guy with crazy good ball retention skills/stats, really good overturn against stats, really good pressing stats (for and against) and good underlying defensive stats and I think we might already have him in MacAllister and also in Jones as the back up to MacAllister at LCM.

Someone like Tchouameni, Veratti (if he were younger that is) or Declan Rice would be good replacements too. And yes to you at the back, that Declan Rice retains the ball as well as Thiago and progresses the ball at the same level

To pick a name to be a gamble to do well in the role I would go with Enzo le fee He was hyped at the start of last season on a good few of the player to watch lists, otherwise would never have heard of him, and he is a little monster when it comes to both the defensive side of the game and the progression side.

Seems to be able to get the ball and then hold it no matter how big or aggressive the incoming player is and then lays it off to someone else.
Not sure if he would not be a bit too green for the PL.

Was trying to figure out if there was a pun there but the only one I could make about his name involves fairies.

Taking your reply at face value, and still am unsure if it was a pun or not, I am not sure he counts as being green.

He is 23 and has over 150 senior games, over 100 in Ligue 1 the past three seasons, to his name and been a starter for a number of years.

He would be more experienced in terms of game time than a number of players we bought in the recent past. In terms of playing time and the level he has played at, he would probably be at a similar experience level to the likes of Diaz when we got him.

Now whether he is good enough to make the jump up to the PL, that is another question, but I think he would potentially be a useful squad player for a team like us without a massive transfer fee being needed imo, and one that might in time be able to become a starter.

Very good. I doff my cap at you.

I was scratching my head and the only thing I was able to come up with were puns based on Fee being fairy in French.

He plays the pass before the pass.. pre assists.

He has been good but his injury record is appalling and makes him a flop imo, i.e below expectations.

That's Ox, Naby and himself. Enough.

Xabi Alonso was like that as well. Plays the pass that opens everything up.

Is Matip also a flop for you as he has only managed 140 league games in seven season so a 20 game a season average. Worse than that of Thiago.

Diaz is also off to a bad start in terms of games he has been available for.

Jota's appearance rate has been poor when looked at over three seasons too.

                            Gomez?

Konate? Two full seasons with us and his average is 15 league games a season.

If Thiago is a flop based on the amount of games he is playing per season since joining, then that makes a lot of our better players flops too.

He seems to pick up more niggles than most, but he averaged 35 games over the first couple of seasons, Hit 40 games a season in his last 2 at Bayern.

Still did 30 games this season, I see zero benefit getting rid specially if we have more bodies in there next season so we don;t have to flog him like we did last year.

Anyone know why on the current LFC stadium tour, all the players who have already left... as well as Thiago, Matip and Gomez, strangely... have this season's shirt hanging up, while all the others have the new one hanging there??

                                Cryptic messaging maybe :-)
