I think I forgot he was injured at the start of this season for 4 or 5 games too.

Nothing to suggest we will sell him bar the rumour that Newcastle are interested, but his lack of availability has to be a worry and if we got an insane offer then I think the club would at least consider it. He's best from the left where we have Diaz and Nunez also able (also Gakpo too if necessary). He's missed over 50 games for us in little over 2 years, and hasn't scored a goal in his last 26. I love him, but those are grim numbers and a huge offer would have to be tempting surely.

Salah and Adeyemi that can play on the right, both left footers. Adeyemi would give us competition/cover/future replacement for Salah on the right flank.

Five attackers for the three attacking slots. Then guys like Doak and Elliot as back ups to the five depending on the game and/or formation being used.

He looks the real deal for sure but it’s still his first year in a big league. He’s now gone from our ability to buy him I think - Napoli are v tough to deal with and get top dollar. Unless he has a release clause I think you’re looking at 150m…….. he smells like Madrid, Chelsea or United (if they get taken over). Oshimen looks like he might leave this summer so unlikely they sell both in one window…… he also looks the real deal btw - might be the best CF in the world right now

yeah, he is the next >125m player for sure, if ****inn Enzo goes for that money, no way he goes for less & Napoli do not need to sell.

THey will be looking at making him a god like Diego figure fror the club.

He does, but aside from the no doubt massive chunk of cash it would take to get him, he plays on the LW and we are more than a tad stocked on that flank whereas on the right we have Salah and then a massive drop off (even from 2023 Salah) to whomever stand ins in for him in terms of goals/assists.


Totally agree on Oshimen. He looks a player that would excel in any of the top leagues with any of the top teams. He has the physicality and finishing that is similar to Haaland but is far more combative and much more willing to mix it up with a back line be it going into battles with CBs or footraces with FBs.

That first 35 minutes, even the full first half, was one of the worst displays I've ever seen from anyone in a red shirt. I think I read he lost the ball 15 times out of 35, but it felt like even more than that.

So good to see him come to life after that. He's never been great in the build-up but that was a handy assist for Mo, and the goals he scored will give him a bundle of confidence as all strikers need.
