                He came in and smashed it up for us and even won a player of the month award. He should be going for nothing below 40mill. Especially considering how much some garbage players cost these days.

                  How many defenders are really, really magnetic in the air? For me he is up there just behind VVD and Hyypia.

                  I know he has no pace and is not as ,"cultured" as we would expect at Liverpool, but he is far more reliable than most of the centrebacks we have had down the years (albeit, based on fewer games).

                    The issue with saying he's a £30m player or whatever is he might be a £30m player if we or another top 6 club were looking to buy him. The issue is we are selling him and 13 out of the other 14 clubs are never going spend that kind of money on a centre back, it would be a club record fee for a number of those clubs and not too far away for most others
                    The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                              Still pissed hes leaving but dont blame him. In 4-5 years he'll be captain at another club and then bought by a big club. Just watch!

                                He’ll never be a 1st choice at a top club, as long as top clubs are still playing out from the back.
