He did a great job for us last season but he’s a Tarkowski or Ben Mee level. He’d actually suit the likes of Burnley .

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nice idea... especially if we are genuinely still interested in Bowen. Nat could be useful leverage in a deal now or in summer for him. Can't see them letting Bowen go in this window though... pipedream.
He could well be another Jota-type signing... and didn't Salah already ask the club to sign another striker recently?

I actually thought you were working towards a pun, but alas not.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think he'd be a great purchase for Newcastle. Their priority at the moment is to avoid relegation, and he will strenthen their defence. The next objective is to improve into a mid-table team, and he'd be an asset in any team looking to achieve that. Then they'll want to be a top eight team. I don't know whether he is good enough for that, but he'll have nearly two years to develop into just such a defender - which is a great incentive to him to learn and improve, rather than just take the money. OK, then they'll want to be top 4 but by then he'll be 30 and looking for a new contract somewhere anyway.

If I were Newcastle I'd be trying to strengthen the centre of the team - high quality CB(s), central midfielders and someone who can score goals.
Goal has to be just to survive this season, so they need to be stronger through the middle AND score enough goals.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

They do score a few but their defence has looked like a clown show.Originally posted by Rich View Post
