Yeah, either left or right footed which is a huge positive for a keeper playing out from the back. Really interesting to see how he develops from here. Didn’t think I’d say this a couple of weeks ago, but be haven’t really missed Alisson since he has been out. That’s some accomplishment for our No2.

A new manager coming in along with Edwards & Hughes might think of getting rid of the big earners, especially with the reserves playing as well as those big earners, would free up some budget for the young top-class recruits that a manager may fancy.

I think a new manager will want a new fresh dynamic by adding youth to the team instead of relying on Klopp's generals in the future.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

You don't get rid of experience just like that, especially as they're an integral part of the team. And our older players aren't that old.

            Maybe we loan him?

Dunno how many years Al has left... Kelleher hasnt really put a foot wrong though. Not at Alisson's level, but certainly good enough to walk into virtually every premier league side. Alisson is amazing at 1 on 1s, not really seen Kelleher in that position too often.

Alisson will hopefully have another 5 years, Kelleher will be 30. I think we will et £20m+ in Summer.

Although staying with us as a Cup Keeper and winning cups might be better than moving to Spurs/West Ham/Brighton and winning **** all

I can understand if he wants to go and be a first choice keeper, but I definitely think there’s arguments for staying at Liverpool too- he’s been a key player in 2 cup finals (arguably man of the match in both), he’s training with the very best keeper in the world, and he’s getting plenty of game time, this season especially. The last 3 seasons he’s played 5, 8 and 6 senior games. This season, so far he’s played 23!! And will prob get around 28 by the end of the season- if we win the league, he’d be one of the players on the dvd cover. It’s not like he’s a passenger- he has a lot to offer, and if we didn’t have him as backup this year I very much doubt that we would have won any trophies.
                I don't tip

As Adrian is our 3rd keeper that is very true

We should give him a big payrise on par with a 1st teamer at a mid table team. Do all we can to keep him.

It must be a difficult position he is in. As you said he gets games, albeit less most seasons, and a chance to win here but could get a lot more games elsewhere and not win.

Although given his performances this season a better team could come in for him and you wouldn’t rule out an overseas team showing interest. Plus his sale value would have to be considered being homegrown as well with the financial rules.

Hope he stays for at least one more season and we have another top young keeper to take his place after.

I feel like the 23 games is somewhat distorted by a couple of factors, firstly Alisson's injury has lead to 8 PL starts but also the fact that we are in the EL where he has started 7 games. Had we been in the CL he probably plays alot fewer games there. As 2nd choice when Alisson got injured that was going to increase his game time significantly. If those 2 factors were taken out he would have similar numbers to most other recent seasons. You can say appearances are appearances however they come about, which is fair enough, but from his perspective surely he's got to look at where his minutes are coming next season and going forward.

If he stays next season and Alisson remains fit he's probably playing just cup games again. A good run in one or other cup is really needed to get him those 8 or so games. It's possible we could go out of both cups early and he only plays 2 games a season...

He's 100% going this summer. Think Klopp had to convince him to even stay this extra year, so I see no scenario where he stays next year unless his Da takes Klopp's job and decides to sell Alison.

Alison is quite injury prone for a keeper though, so we're gonna have to do well to get in another number two capable of covering for him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Nah not 100%, we don't know anything yet. Alisson might want out with Klopp gone and he could end up our first choice keeper.

We have no idea how big of an impact Klopp leaving is going to have on the squad as of yet.

Back in the CL next season. He is here for at least another season unless something dramatic happens in terms of an offer from another club in the CL.

                            Imo of course.

I'm sure I read preseason that he wanted to leave, but Klopp begged him to stay for one more season, implying there is some sort of gentleman's agreement that he'll be allowed to leave.

Obviously everything changes with Klopp leaving and maybe he decides himself that he wants to stay, but I'm sure there were plenty of times last year he was kicking himself for not leaving when his stock was high, feeling he's wasted another year of his career, probably frustrated at some of the criticism he was getting and not getting the opportunity to prove people wrong. I just don't think he'll make that mistake again, regardless of how this season plays out.

From the club point of view, Kelleher is the ideal backup keeper we couldn't really ask for better, but from his point of view, at his age he needs to be playing, he can't stick around here until he's 30 waiting to step out of Alisson's shadow. He has proved himself a capable keeper I would be very surprised if he doesn't want to move on this summer.
