Would you sell him for less if there was a buy back clause for a set amount that we could use in two years? I’d imagine if we had one in it might mean the club might have to lower the fee a bit.

Gives him time to develop and see if he continues to progress and he’d be less likely to move clubs after just one season so we wouldn’t have to hopefully worry about missing out. Also lets the club see where Ali is in two years and if it’s time to replace him. Bit like the deal City had with Lavia at Southampton.

Made it clear in the press conference for the Irish game that he wanted out this summer and said he said he wanted out the past few years.


Do think it is a bit of a ****house move for journos to be asking club questions at an International team press conference and also for players to be discussing club stuff in them.

I like kelleher, and it’s admirable that he wants to play every week, but he’d want to wind in his neck a little bit. He signed a 5 year contract extension in 2021. This was around the time that Allison was being short listed for the ballon dor, ffs. What did he think, that we were gonna bench Allison?

Also klopp gave him more minutes than prob any other no. 2 keeper around would be getting. All the cup games, including finals.

Fair enough if he wants to move on, and be a number 1 somewhere else, but no suitable offers came in- what’s the club meant to do, sell players for peanuts, so that their feelings won’t be hurt?!
