I'm sorry, he's not been great for weeks. He's been up and down for weeks. Where has this narrative that he's been consistently great come from?

Probably his goal contribution numbers this season
      Hello mert.

Forward wise, I thought Salah was the worst, IMHO.

I also hate Jota on the left. You'd be better playing my granny there and she's dead nigh on ten years.

Bad day for Nunez, sure but he was definitely involved. Finishing needs to improve clearly.

is what I'm thinking. He's got all the ability but he seems to defeat himself in his own mind, especially with the easier chances.

Yeah, maybe great is over stating it.

His contributions assists and goals is really high. He just should be the match winner on days like today and these are the days when his ability to score goes missing.

            He is frustrating as ****.

I generally love his all round play, although it does drop off after about an hour (probably due to his work-rate) but his finishing is absurdly up and down. As Dan says, he's a hammer and seems to leather every shot. You're going to score some corkers with that and miss a fair few as well. Is that good enough for a Liverpool number 9?

I just don’t know what happens here… did he think it was offside? He just doesn’t look… organised.

                    He clearly can’t.

Today was a big day for him. Playing against relegation fodder.

You want to see a 2-0 with Nunez scoring both in games like this. I’d love to see him scoring the goalDiaz did, far post dominant header.

Jota played it to Darwin and Darwin tried to play it back to Jota but the pass wasn’t on because they had two players blocking it. Jota was pissed and let Darwin know it. And Mo’s reaction to Darwin’s sitter was an anguished fall to the ground, platoon style. I suspect it’s not just fans getting really frustrated by his wastefulness.

Or maybe because he should have scored himself?

I thought Mo was more pissed off that he hadn't put the header in. He should have really.

At the moment he feels like a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

People are just have to accept they were wrong and jump aboard the Nunez train!
I’m afraid the argument is very much not over.
