For as long as events like that make far far more money than fights between two quality boxers, this muck is here to stay.
You have the male version of it and you also have venues being sold out for the female version and by that I mean the Instagram model types that are doing the same sort of bouts as the Logan brothers, and not the bare knuckle stuff done by the likes of Paige Van Zant and similar hard as nails women.
Not a fan of any bare knuckle stuff or that crazy fighting in a phone box thing but at least those involved in those are actual fighters that would mess up any of the youtuber jokes.
What I think you may see more of in the future is these youtube/reality gimps
branching out into other sports. Maybe playing in a friendly game for a known team (Looking at you Ryan Reynolds as being someone that I think would facilitate something like that for a youtube gimp)
and in some ways I think it was a triumph for boxing fans - it was such an appalling embarrassment that maybe boxing will decide enough is enough with this crossover/YouTube nonsense. A real nadir and hopefully there's some proper blowback.
