Has anyone tried these minimalist type trainers? I'm in the market for a new pair, only jog short distances, 40 minutes, mostly road and occasionally some dirt trails.

I've always worn your normal style runners, but want to try and get away from heel striking/running flat footed and these apparently encourage it.

Don't want to spend anymore than £80.

Managed to do the London Marathon in 3:10 so was well chuffed, was aiming for 3:30 and just kinder kept going.

The crowd support is unparalleled, haven't experienced anything like that anywhere!

After 4 months out injured it was a bit ropey. Plus I was scared ****less that if knack myself again pretty much throughout the entire session. Was pretty grim stuff, Will. Grim indeed.
