    Was going well when an old back problem re-surfaced with a vengeance and scuppered me altogether. Was signed up for my first 10K run/race 10 days ago as well and couldn't go ffs. Not quite sure what to do now. Feel ok but not 100% and just want to get out and run.

    Equally I know that I have to do some sort of core-strengthening thing if I'm to keep the back problem at bay...My wife did a thing a while back based around straps attached to a wall - x-something - so I might do that. Plus the whole martial art thing is back knawing away at me but I just can't seem to take the step to do something. But I need to sort out my back before I try it. I think.
