yeah sadly I am aware of all that - still blindly ignoring it for now - I bet 3 weeks in I'll be a crock crying into me beer somewhere

Would still need four to six day's rest from exercise and regular icing of the knee then revaluate how it feels then.

Discolouration, swelling, new noises from the knee like sharp clicks or pops would be go straight to the doctor territory as would the feeling of a tear or jammed/trapped nerve.
I followed the above and the pain appears to have subsided substatially.

A lot of my issues stem from extreme tightness of the hips, hamstrings, calves etc.

So from July 2025 to today I’ve managed to drop 40kg of weight. Still more to go but I’m chuffed. More exercise but it’s the calorie counting that’s actually done it for me. Plus religiously weighing myself every Monday morning.
**** me, did you cut both your legs off?

    Jokes aside

That's some astonishing weight loss. How did you do it?

Anyway, he still needs to stop running, he's too big and will end up ****ed. There's a reason runners weigh about 60kg and are beanpoles

Hope he doesn't have arthritis, a Meniscus year is much less of a long term worry.

I have no swelling, discolouration or heat in the area but mine is meniscus wear.

I was amazed by how little I was able to run at the beginning, given I had played football all my life. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest

Btw, did you mean to write 0-2/3kg as in weight, or 0-2/3km as in race distance?
