    Thanks man, but I still need to shift about 20 so shouldn't be much of one

    Don't worry so much about portion size so much as worrying about what the portion is. Chuck as much veggies / salad in there as you humanly can. Fill up on that ****. It won't make you fat or give you reflux (well, peas, beans, carrots and toms have carbs and need moderating to a degree, but not as much as other stuff). And you'll naturally eat less of the bad **** that does cause reflux.

    My secret ingredient is cauliflower. Blend it up and chuck it in your spag bols, soups, stews whatever. It pads it out, has little taste, gives a creaminess if blended fine enough, makes it more filling and is pretty much free food. It's the greatest veg ever.

    Cheers fella. It's the cough that's killing me, there's no other discomfort. It's stopped me exercising properly too so I'm trying to do as many steps as possible and volunteering at work to do physical stuff.

    I've cut down on portion sizes and am trying to eat earlier in the evening. I do need to shift 10kg though, you've been an inspiration

    I'm **** at DIY and in a rental, and for work I sit behind a desk, so incidental exercise is next to nowt. Since I quit vaping and have no excuse to go outside I'd be on ~3k steps a day unless I force myself (I consider Wednesday a rest day as I work from home and that's usually what I'm at).

    I do sometimes wish I was in a more active job, but then see people stuck outside doing stuff on 35 degree days and think **** that.

    Reflux is a bitch. Diet definitely works better for it than drugs.

    I've been told I have reflux so I'm not drinking at all at the moment, it means I'm fresh in the evening. My missus was asleep on the sofa too which meant I could research bathroom products on the net interspersed with a bit of Est in peace

    I routed the cabling for 8 ceiling downlights and tomorrow I'm going to board the ceiling. DIY exercise FTW

    Well, HIIT it's great. Second only to weight training for weight loss. Or combine it like evil 8complexes.

    Any exercise that suits the individual is great though, of course. Whatever floats your boat.

    Today I filled an eight tonne skip with building rubble and a hedge. Functional fitness.

    Intermittent sprint running on the hamster machine is apparently great for burning fat ... sprint for 30 full pelt on 10 plus speed ... then 80 seconds rest rince and repeat ... and you only need 20 minutes of this to get big results puts you in a fat burning space for the rest of the day

I lost track at Christmas, 5 weeks of hols with my dad over popped on 7kg and haven't got rid of it yet. It's harder to motivate the diet side when you don't feel unhealthy. Lol.

    And yeah, just walking normal, but fast. I just keep pushing until my heart rates over 140 and sit there. 205k's in 11 days puts me to shame but. That's some serious distance.

    There's running and there's running though. I used to run approx 8:45mins per mile and that would drop to 10mins when I ran through the woods, and less than walking pace on any incline. I reckon you're probably fitter than I was then, and certainly fitter than I am now

    I was the same, wanted to love it but just kept getting niggling injuries in knees feet or ankles.

    Have you thought about trail running? Speeds are much slower and trails are more cushioned than tarmac. Bounding through woods and puddles used more core muscles and wasn't as repetitive

    I did say I never ran as I didn't think my knees would cope. Was silly enough to convince myself I was just making excuses

    Way he was talking but I reckon I'll get some exercises and supports and I'll be right to kick off again. Hopefully. Ironically I'd just started to enjoy it even with the pain.
