This is true. The crux of the matter is how we perform throughout the season. If we have a piss poor start and fall behind early in the table, then it could be well over by X'mas. However, if we are consistent and win the games that we drw / lost last year after total domination and failing to convert our chances, then we are fooked. Hopefully Torres will be the answer to this problem. Add a couple of quality wingers, we should be challenging.

new premiership tv money? perhaps. plus madrid made around 90 million euros in profits last year. and seeing as the mancs are alongside real and barca the biggest commercial team in the world and the expansion of old toilet, i really can see them getting this money back easily with merchandise and ticked revenue...

i actually feel depressed already just talking about it. for is on par with gerrard to chelski saga, but i could accept that at the end, we were saying **** gerrard we've got alonso. i don't think i'll ever accept that the mancs got tevez (if they do)...

it would be a scary line up though, hulk and shrek together

Should we not think about strengthening our weak area's, he would not do this and as Red chilli has said he will not strengthen one of their weak area's.
If we get a couple of good/great wingers then there is no reason why we can't compete. Utd will not be paying us every week, if we the other teams in the league then we can win it. Why does every one forget we have to play 19 teams home and away not one team 38 times, lets hammer all the others.
Well said; Its the crap away form and slow start which cost us. We'll never make up 20 points in 2 games against United alone (obviously), so if we can handle our business in the rest of the league, we'll be competing for sure.

That said; Tevez is a TREMENDOUS talent and would make them instantly better. They will have a great side without him; With him and the style they play, they have to be favorites. My only hope is that they stay dodgy at the back and they lose points here and there on mistakes. They were so lucky last year (both matches against us an example, the match against Fulham away)... I just don't know how they can do it again...

THAT said; If they sign Tevez and we challenge for the league and win it, it will be the best title ever. EVER.

Nothing is impossible; We just need to handle our business.

This year is shaping up to be EPIC.

Even if they buy Ronaldinho and Kaka , I am pretty confident Rafa will find a way to nullify them. It is the other teams in the premiership I am worried about.

Man united consistently get above 70 points by putting the other teams to sword. Adding Tevez to their already brilliant attacking line up, teams like Spurs will bend over backwards to allow themselves to get raped by ManU.

personally I think that Tevez is massively overrated. He looked good in the West Ham side last year....but so would my gran.

He is not a prolific scorer, and is not an out and out goal getter. He is the creative second striker, and there are quite a few in the EPL better than him in this position.

Also as stated he fills the role that Rooney fills. Him and Tevez together equals nobody in the box

But then again, imagine having Tevez and Ronney and in order to fit both, Fergie adopts a stupid formation and style of play that disrupts more than it achieves, causing in-fighting and lost of moral. Leaving them foundering in
4th place at the end of next season. wishful thinking.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
