Thanjk you.

Doubt he'll play in a Liverpool shirt again ever, regardless of how Mingolet does.
Anyway, Good luck Pepe, another that's decided it's time to get out, although i think he decided he wanted to go as while back tbh.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Who else has a Spanish international earning £4m a year who is likely second choice in their only position? Maybe there is someone but I bet they have a lot more money and prestige than we do at the moment. Whether he is wanted on the pitch is another matter and one fit Rodgers but I don't think it is rational to look at a situation we don't understand and automatically assume incompetence is the explanation.
the only way this would make sense is if we have put in a purchase price that napoli have to meet at the end of the season if reina doesnt go to barca.
Some people doubted whether FSG were intent on slashing the wage bill and getting rid of all high earners. well now we have the proof.
but to what end i dont know.

Dunno what to make of it really, can only guess theres some sort of agreement to go to Barca next season. But then what if he's average for Napoli, you can bet they'd soon be backing out of that, the opposite also true of course though, has a blinder and we might get a few more mill.
Has there been anything about how much of his wages they'd pay? Cavani was only apparently getting 3m euros a year and they've only come in for Reina after Julio Cesar refused to take a pay cut to go there. I find it very hard to believe they're paying his wages even if it's only for one year which begs the question what do we get out of this?
I don't know if Mignolet is good enough but I'm working on the basis that Rodgers wouldn't willingly weaken the team (not least because it wouldn't help him) and that he and his much-ridiculed committee might be better judges of goalkeepers than most - and probably all - of us here.
That's not praising everything the club does, it's just holding on to the hope that the people in charge - starting with the manager - know what they're doing and are genuine when they say they want the club to make progress on the pitch as well as off it.
Of course that hope could be misplaced but the signs in the last year have very largely been encouraging for the first time since 2009.
Everything has a risk attached, even the moneybags approach of Man City and PSG. It depends on whether you think the risks are well calculated and what timescale you're looking at.
if rodgers doesnt put up a better show this year he will be gone. as things stand im not feeling all that confident about the coming season. The first team still needs a lot of work and personally i dont think one or two signings will be enough.

I heard there was a loan fee but no contribution to his wages.
Strange one. I suppose it's best to judge at the end of August, we sign a couple of gods and everyones happy. If we dont though theres going to be chaos!
Well, the club, or its management, are in the best position to know what's right for us, whether in a financial point of view or a team's point of view. There's a load of factors that we don't know about.

Getting déjà vu with the Alonso/Barry situation on the way the clubs decisions are being defended. Oh well, each to their own.

This just shows that we put all of out eggs in one basket here.
On the assumption that Reina was off to Barca we've splashed 9 or 10 million on a GK to play it safe. Valdes has then said he isn't leaving, meaning that we've pissed Pepe off and he doesn't want to play second fiddle.
