We signed to pay him that until his contract expires! We want to dispose of him in the way that maximises the club's finances, he wants out in a way that protects his. It's not a one way street.

No idea why fans get so het up about such things, it's business, plain and simple.

It's easy for us to say he should do this or that, but if we were negotiating such things with an employer who no longer wants us, we'd all be looking for the best deal, regardless of how much we'd earned from that company.

Reinas looking for a wage that simply cannot be justified by his performances over the last 2-3 years. Even Napoli don't think he justifies it without being on a free after last season.

I understand his point of view though, and i think if people are looking at footballers and expecting them to be morally superior then their brains not functioning rationally.

From a fans perspective it sucks as we all care about the club over any one player and also the fact that even 10% of his wage would have most of us jumping for joy.
