He'll be a free agent and will get a signing on fee, otherwise he sits out this season on the sidelines. He's the one who's asked for severance of contract so should be granted his wish. Without further money from us. Seems a fair deal for both parties as we lose out on a transfer fee in return for getting shot. It seems as if it's Pepe that wants it all his way

No idea why fans get so het up about such things, it's business, plain and simple.
It's easy for us to say he should do this or that, but if we were negotiating such things with an employer who no longer wants us, we'd all be looking for the best deal, regardless of how much we'd earned from that company.Last edited by Vermilion; 04-08-14, 07:52 PM.

Reinas looking for a wage that simply cannot be justified by his performances over the last 2-3 years. Even Napoli don't think he justifies it without being on a free after last season.
I understand his point of view though, and i think if people are looking at footballers and expecting them to be morally superior then their brains not functioning rationally.
From a fans perspective it sucks as we all care about the club over any one player and also the fact that even 10% of his wage would have most of us jumping for joy.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

I thought on the whole Reina's last season for us was pretty good - he made a couple of notable cock ups but I still think he would provide great competition to Mignolet :

The way some people go on you'd think he'd been total liability when he played for us
