This is what TB said on the matter on the Rattle.
There are no big reasons. People looking for smoking guns and citing letters that were written after he was told he could leave. It's dead simple - he isn't fancied sufficiently to be retained on the contract that he's on.
When that happens it's all over and like I've said on here many times the manager has to be able to make those kind of decisions no matter what a player may or may not have achieved in the past.

Oh yes, and the all the best to him too, he was great for us for a good long time.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostWhich is fine.
So long as people don't get all bitter when the time comes for a player to move on, and with the best deal possible for himself.

Seems it's €5m (allegedly) - I wonder how much of that we'll lose paying him off?
Pepe Reina's next club will be Bayern Munich and it is expected that a deal with Liverpool for a fee of around €5 million is close and should be announced in the next few hours.
For Reina it will be the chance to experience a new league after his spells in La Liga with Barcelona and Villarreal, the Premier League with Liverpool and last season in Italy with Napoli.
At Bayern he will report to Pep Guardiola and will have three new Spanish teammates in the form of Juan Bernat, Javi MartĂnez and Thiago Alcántara. His chances of making the number one shirt his own will be cut out by the competition he will face from Bayern's current international keeper Manuel Neuer

Good to luck to him, has been brilliant for us but times move on.
At least it's some more money for us that's the main thing.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
