Not moral high ground, just fecks me off when people abuse and slag off our players. And it would feck you off too (as it has done in the past), if only it hadnt been me pointing it out.

Is Carroll as 'hapless' as Skrtel though?

            Aerial duels

            Tottenham game - 7 won, 5 lost
            Stoke game - 1 won 0 lost
            Bolton game - 0 won 1 lost
            Arsenal game - 12 won 10 lost
Sunderland game 9 won 0 lost

The only game even below 50% was the Bolton game when he was only on for the tail end and was only involved in one aerial duel.
That's bollocks cos I counted 2 headers he won against Spurs, so your stats are wrong
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

14 games, when it's come across two different seasons, when he hasnt been fit and when he's been trying to settle in, is nothing.

And it's not almost half a season really. It's just over 36% of a league season - and they werent 14 league games anyway. So if you want to use it against a league season (when they werent all league games), it's just over a third. Not 'almost half a season'.

On another point, i'm presuming you want him to do well for us. On that note, what do you think is more likely to help him improve - being slagged off and called ****, or being backed and supported?

He looked alot more mobile against Spurs than he has done this season so hopefully that's him fully fit and can push on from here (starting with Brighton).

I think the problem is three-fold. I dont think he's 100% fit and sharp. I dont think he's yet integrated into the style of play and system. And i certainly dont think his confidence is there. If anything, i think his confidence is shot to pieces just now.

Yep agree with that. I'm hoping, with his fitness back, it could help with all those problems.

I doubt the Capello thing helped his noggin as well...

Heres the thing. He's playing for liverpool. I want to mention that little bit there as well... Playing for LIVERPOOL. Ignoring the huge privilege of this little fact, he's also getting a pretty good weekly pay. Throw these two things together and do you think he really could care less what someone like me is saying on a forum, which he is also NOT reading?

To put into perspective, if you were on the field playing for LIVERPOOL, would you suddenly crash and burn if you read 'He is **** with his head' on a forum? You wouldnt. You'd take 1 step on that field and suddenly feel like superman. Now if the player ISNT feeling this, I dont want him in the team. I dont believe we need to pamper and baby them so they decide to finally play for the club. You play well or you go to another club. It should be THAT simple.

And yes, I definitely want him to do well. Every time he comes onto the pitch I want to see him score, I want to see him hassling the opponents defense, I want to see him barging his way through everything, I want to see him laying waste to every team and having a good time doing it. The problem is he's not. His movement and awareness and desire isnt looking like someone whos not fit or not used to a system. He's not a midfielder. His only system is to get the ball and pass it back to someone or run forward and score. To be perfectly honest I see him as one of those players that do well elsewhere but not do well here. Morientes, Keane, etc.

Please score 4 hat tricks and make me look stupid Carroll, but I really think he isnt up to the Liverpool standard.

So you adopt a different approach if you're at a game?
