Don't shoot the messenger but I heard a couple of snippets about him today, one from someone who is connected to the club and one who isn't.

Firstly, he has the recovery condition between games and after injuries of a 43 year old, hence probably the conditioning programme and secondly, he is still a boozer.
I make no apologies, this is me

Andy Carroll will be given a 12-month boot camp to salvage his Liverpool career

LIVERPOOL will put Kop-flop striker Andy Carroll in a 12-month boot camp in a bid to salvage his Anfield career.

The £35million star’s diet and drinking will be closely monitored – and he is even prepared to ditch his trademark ponytail as worried Kop chiefs plan a new clean-cut image for him.

Carroll, 22, has scored just four goals in 16 Premier League games since his move from Newcastle in January – a slump that that has seen him drop out of the England reckoning.

Three Lions boss Fabio Capello left him out of the squad for the games against Spain and Sweden and he hasn’t been guaranteed a Liverpool starting place this season.

The new year-long health kick imposed by Anfield chiefs is a clear sign they are disturbed by his conditioning, even though they have repeatedly denied it.

A source said: “Andy is happy to go along with this long training schedule Liverpool have devised for him. It’s a conditioning programme which will look at his whole lifestyle. While Carroll is obviously a big lad he is not particularly muscular and they are wanting to put this right. They are not looking to give him more bulk, but more strength.

“He knows that as a £35m signing he should be the first name on the Liverpool team-sheet for the game at Chelsea but he also knows this won’t be the case.

“And as far as England are concerned he feels that his international career is going backwards.” Significantly, when asked if Carroll still had an England future, Capello replied: “Yes. But it depends on him, not on me.”

But Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is defiant about his out-of-condition striker...and particularly that hefty fee.

Dalglish said: “Andy’s price-tag is only a problem for other people, not for us.

“He replaced a £50m striker which means we are £15m up on the deal – so he’s not a bad buy. Besides, we don’t look at anyone’s price.

“If someone comes here for nothing it doesn’t mean he has to be better than someone who has come here for £20m. If you can pass, play and score it’s no problem what you cost. Money is irrelevant.

“We are delighted with Andy Carroll. Two of the last three games he’s played have been his best two for the club.

“I don’t know where people get their ideas from about Andy. Stories appear on the internet about him and people follow it up even though it’s not always true.”

England boss Capello has warned Carroll he must be playing regularly and scoring goals to be under consideration for the Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine next summer.

The England boss said: “Andy Carroll is a good player and a good talent but in this moment we need to wait.

“First, he needs to score goals. For forwards it is like a drug – they need goals and I am waiting for his goals. I am looking for his goals.

“But I’m not worried about him. With young players you need to wait sometimes.

“When some players change clubs, like Carroll from Newcastle to Liverpool, the pressure is different.”
        Will he ****!

C'mon Andy Carroll start ****ing annihilating the cunts, do what you did at Newcastle and steam roller your way over the *******s.

We've got faith in you lad, it's only a matter of time before you start smashing them in.

If Carroll is still on the gargle he's an idiot and has let the club down. Would love to see him do well & was delighted when we signed him, but all the excuses in the world can't cover up from him having a complete mare since joining us. Spends most of his time falling on the ground, long gone is the guy who was terrorising and battering defenders.

So much potential, let's hope we see it & in a LFC jersey.

The old falling to ground thing always seems to happen to players when they sign for us regardless of how they've done elsewhere.

But going back to the thread I started when pissed, there has been this negative feeling around players that play for us. It's as though everyone's out to get them and their whole world crumbles and all their confidence goes, he will come good the big man I'm sure of that.

He's will start knocking them in soon like Crouchie did, he will be wellying them in from all places it's coming mate.

Dan mate, are you ever supportive of any Liverpool player when they arent having the best of times? All you ever seem to do is criticise them and, though i'm sure this isnt true, but it comes across as if you revel in seeing them do poorly.

I can't believe people copy and paste an article which is clearly a complete load of **** and then other people comment on it as if it were gospel.
I mean seriously, as a club we don't monitor players diets already?? of course we do, they all have their own bottles with specific recovery drinks in ffs.
Millions on the geezer from Australia to head up the medical side (who thankfully we hear nothing from these days) but oh no, he hasn't been monitoring players, or taking blood regularly or swabbing for hydration levels before training.

No, Andy Carroll comes out of the Melwood canteen to start training, full to the brim after a fry up with extra black pudding and chips still holding a mug of strong tea.

There's some ****ing retards around, the world isn't flat anymore.

To clarify what exactly have i said wrong?

                    - "IF" he's on the gargle?

                    He is he's a gob****e.

                    - He falls down alot?

                    He does, very evident.

                    - He has had a bit of a mare since joining us?

He has, saying other wise is rose tinted or just pure lies

This is the kind of selective posting is typical of you, and highlights exactly my point the other day, you've picked out things in my post and slapped the negative tag on them, but yet conveniently fail to acknowledge anything positive in my post e.g. bolded comments in my post.

Why do you consistently do this, i'm just curious because i have said it you and 1 other person before, and sure my posts are there for everyone to see mate?

as i said was delighted when we signed him, but at the moment he looks shadow of his former self. Hope to see him knocking heads sooner rather than later

Why take the 'boozer' aspect at all, even if you include 'if' ? It's like you've already made up your mind and are desperate to get onto the bit about him being an idiot. It's about having the kind of faith in our players, in order to dismiss the notion that they're just a bunch of idiots.

As for the 'anything positive' in your posts - it's always negated.

Eg... "Would love to see him do well & was delighted when we signed him, but...."

It's like when people say "I'm not a racist, but...." which means they are a racist, and....

Obviously that's just one example of where the word 'but' negates the previous thing said, i'm not in any way suggesting you're 'racist', before you read that the wrong way.

And you very briefly skirt around a tiny notion of positivity, before throwing in your 'but' and then going off on one about all the bad ****.

Eg "I'd love to see him doing well....but he is basically ****, he does nothing good for us, all he does is fall over, he aint the player he was and probably wont ever be"

What you say comes across like that. Clearly nothing is ever black and white, but you concentrate solely on the bad side and dont remotely acknowledge any positivity in his contributions - for example....Wolves, he was excellent, Everton he played well and scored, linked up well with Suarez at Stoke, scored at WBA. If you want to present a balanced viewpoint, you'd need to point out the positives too (because there HAVE been several of late), but you dont do that. Why not?

All of the positive stuff seems to be dismissed in the midst of some quest to criticise him.

I just dont understand it at all. And whether you ignore it or not, it actually does sometimes come across as if you're happy to 'tell us so' when someone doesnt play well.

Mate how can 'you' have a balanced view point of view if you are leave out the obvious negatives as well? It goes both ways Craig. That's completely contradictory.

I will call a spade a spade, there is a lot of rose tints around this place. I said "if" it's by no means damning statement, merely suggesting that if a player with a history of going on the piss, joins LFC and still is, he is an idiot. I'm am not saying he is, merely asking the question.

Eg "I'd love to see him doing well....but he is basically ****, he does nothing good for us, all he does is fall over, he aint the player he was and probably wont ever be"
are you for real, come on now? Who said he was ****? And he "does fall over alot" and his form at LFC isn't what it was at Newcastle. And who said "He probably ever won't be" that is clutching at straws mate.

I said i was delighted when we signed, not because i love a man with a pony tail, but because he thought he was a good player with bags of potential and was delighted he signed for us. My opinion hasn't changed Craig, but it is complete and utter rose tints, if you can't acknowledge that his time at LFC hasn't been a good one & that he has been bang out of form.

Seems to me it's ok for you to have you're rants and say you're piece, but when someone else says something (in this case clearly nothing wrong with it) you take the moral high ground & put that number 1 liverpool supporter jersey on.

I remember you saying awhile back that there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, and i agree with that. But let's not be selective when posting. If you're going to give me stick about saying negative things, the least you can do is mentioned the positives things i've said aswell. Balanced opinion remember

P.S. I know you like a good back and fourth but you're clutching at straws and i think you know it.
