I would have said he was nuts. Nugent never scored 11 goals in half a season till he got injured.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIf Rafa had signed David Nugent to replace Torres, would ANY of you have thought that was a rational decision? Just asking. That's my new book. 'Shut the **** Up, by Dr. Denis Leary'. Patients come in. 'Doctor I-' Shut the **** up! NEXT!! 'Doctor, I've got this-' SHUT THE **** UP!! NEXT! Can't blame Carroll's lack of goalscoring on his injury.
He is now playing in a team that isn't built around his style of play and hasn't adapted, his service hasn't been very good, and he is low on confidence.
He was also imo forced to leave Newcastle when he didn't want too. Of course the injury affected him at first. but that is by no means a main factor. The times they are a changin'.

Its even reactions on the pitch thoughOriginally posted by kris90210 View PostThere could be lots of reasons for that. For one, with Kenny trying so hard to foster team spirit, if he were to see that behaviour from players on a regular basis I'm sure he'd put a stop to it.
Secondly, Voronin was regarded as a bit of a prick in the squad, whereas I'm sure Carroll is pretty popular.
I wouldn't read too much into it anyway.
You dont see the emotional reactions with Carroll mistakes
Players might have to keep it in instead of having a go verbally but eyes dont lie and you rarely see any reaction towards Carroll
Voronin you saw it week in week out, you saw Gerrard often berating him for not making an effort to make a run etc......Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Irrespective of this I expected a better return from CarrollOriginally posted by Gibbo9 View PostCan't blame Carroll's lack of goalscoring on his injury.

I honestly think the lad has major potential to be as good or if not better than Duncan Ferguson a ****ing brutal player on his day, I watched footage earlier of Andy in his Newcastle days and it's obvious that he was sharper ,had more control and just bullied people So technically the scouting department has a good case , Although the £35m price tag is another matter but he was seriously the real deal ,
Nowadays he looks lethargic and slower and what's more frightening his attitude to hard work looks very poor, Now that is down to Andy himself if he works hard and train hard and look after himself he can be a monster for us but if he doesn't want IT then its down to attitude and he just as well pack his bags , the balls in his court imoYou Can Lead A Horse To Water , But A Pencil Must Be Lead!

No I'm not saying that but they are better positioned to judge whether a player is showing commitment and at least tryingOriginally posted by kris90210 View PostSo what are you saying? The players think he's doing well?
They see the lad EVERY day in training, they play alongside him in matchesBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
