I thought he played very well today, it's a shame he didn't get a goal

dammed good game from him last night.
pretty much unplayable to be honest. he was strong in every tackle. won pretty much every header. his passing was really impressive and his generaql hold up play was as strong as its been for us.
i badly hope he gets a proper run as the main target in the fron tline becasue once again last night suarez proved he is not a striker. his movement is fantastic. his undertsnding with the midfield runners was good and his link up with carroll looked very promising. but i fully expect to see carroll dropped and suarez being the focal point of attack next game with upsets me.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

He was good last night, he makes a lot of room for the other players, there were always 2-3 Everton players pouncing on Carroll every time he got the ball. He is playing a very difficult job, his knock ons are improving as well. If he keeps this up we are looking at a very good player for the next 10 years.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Big Andy
Glad to see he's finally getting some credit, far too many people lost faith and wrote him off too early. He's at the point now where he's performing consistently, needs to just score some goals and he's there.
Reminding me of Crouch, during his barren spell in his early days with us - played well, linked the play, worked hard and just lacked the goals. Carroll's got a few goals, but the rest is similar to Crouchie, who eventually got the goals too. If Carroll carries on doing what he's doing, the goals will come.

Some proper hyperbole going around based on last night's performance. I think people like to get carried away with him. He's either brilliant or ****e and it's not going to help our analysis of him.
Let's not get carried away. He had a good game and got involved a lot more, as well as putting in the effort and displaying some technical qualities like winning a few headers, linking play up well.
His movement and desire to get into the box were still poor.
Credit where it's due, but as for a future here? Consistency is vital.

I think I'm going to drink a glass of MattShark's water this morning.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWhen he's been picked, he's been playing consistently well.
It's still not been good enough though, apart from last night where he showed more than the usual minimum standards required.
