Thanjk you.

Absolutely. Whatever we got from him this season was aways considered only gravy. He was injured for extended period of time and we just don't have support in place yet to bring the best out of him.
Sure he looked slow and sluggish yesterday but he is not to be blamed for our loss. He did what he could, given the circumstances, and it is definitely premature to judge him properly at this moment.
Let's wait until next season to see what Andy really brings to our club..
First of all i don't think he is fully fit and i have said this before............also he should have been given the rest of the season of to prepare for next season, plus to get the best out of carroll he needs proper service from the wings and we can't give this to him at the moment.
Just as a guideline tell me who you have played instead?
Probably what Imy said. I would have had Kuyt and Suarez upfront anyway, and given Carroll c. 30mins in the second half.
He just didn't look all that fit, and with only one game left its not like there's any urgency to get him up and running right now.
Not a biggie, I'm not really that bothered by the defeat, in fact I think it might do us a little good in the long run just to lower expectations slightly before the summer break, and I'm certainly not going to get on Carroll's back, but with the benefit of hindsight I'm not sure starting him was the best plan.

What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
I hope it is fitness. He does not look mobile enough for a top team. In addition I am not sure that he has the footballing brain for it. To me he seems rather on dimensional. A pure battering ram. When you need to be more than that if you want to get into the Champions League let alone win a title.
Hes a cracking player no doubt, what we need to do is simple (in theory), and that is get him fit, and work out what style of play we need to play that benefits us all. Do that and we can make this rough diamond Drogba esque. imo.
You're not a true Liverpool supporter if you criticise.
It's not the Liverpool way.
If you don't constructively criticise it's bad. If you are a just a knee jerker or someone who doesn't look at performance with respect to their condition or any other prevailing conditions then yes, you will be booed.
It was a risk starting him and probably played it's part in the poor performance, but I think it'll do him good to start as many as games as possible and feel valued by the manager, hopefully he'll find some form before the U-21's and have a good tournament. Europe is no massive loss to be fair, would have been nice for the youngsters but we won't cry over it.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
I don't buy that his style of play doesn't suit us. He's a similar player to Drogba and he would walk into this side.
It'll be a good few years before Carroll even comes close to justifying the large fee, he's not been bought as the finished product. Very inexperienced but he has shown enough with England and Newcastle to suggest he has the tools if given service.
My only worry is this; it's clearly taken him a long time to get into his stride after injuries, as a brave player who throws himself into challenges I fear he may pick up a few knocks over the course of a season. If this happens will he forever be short of fitness and therefore below par?
I would have left the successful Kuyt/Suarez partnership intact and started Shelvey in midfield (the extra body would have helped as the midfield was so badly dominated by Spurs).
Mmmm not convinced of that but thanks for replying
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Point out the knee jerk posts.
It was a flat, ****ty, uncommitted and sloppy performance and if people want to state just that, they're entitled to.
A knee-jerk post would be something along the lines of slating most of the Players and/or Management, saying the team is totally **** and all the rest.
He showed some nice foot work on a couple of occasions yesterday. The lad isn't fit at all. What is clear as has been said since we signed him is that we don't have the players to get the best out of him. John Henry saw it for himself yesterday. The question he asks as an owner is how do I get the best return on my prime investment? The answer is more money please John and a couple of wingers or at least players who can deliver a good ball into the box.
Poor performance all round yesterday, I'm not sure what happened but we didn't spark at all. More interested in moaning at Webb than anything else and no doubt all the verbals lead to the giving of the peno. Very disappoointing game.
