Had the odd pint with him? hes brave Pardew said Ashley said that everybit of the money from the Carroll transfer will be invested in the squad, somehow i dont believe that. Definitely forced in my eyes.
When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use.

Your celebrations when? Like when you used to make a good post or something?

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Carroll is a more technically gifted player than Torres because clearly he isn't. I just believe that in terms of team dynamics and options I feel that Carroll and Suarez offer more than Torres and Suarez, in that they compliment each other well, Torres and Suarez have a number of similar attributes whereas Carroll and Suarez are almost opposite in their style with little overlap. I think that as a partnership Carroll and Suarez cover more bases than Torres and Suarez.

I don't think you can underestimate Carroll's physical ability to hold the ball up and get stuck in whereas Torres has been reluctant to do so (recently) and I think this will benefit the team, he also offers a much greater threat in the air that Torres has* That's why I think they can be a better partnership, I could be wrong, but lets hope not. Time will tell.

                  * Someone mentioned that Torres used to be good in the air, but recently (last 12-18 months) his aerial game has been less and less effective, whether this is an attitude thing and he doesn't want to risk injury or whatever I don't know.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fair enough, I do hope you're right.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

If he does well here, which I am sure he will, he is going to put an end to Crouch's national team hopes.

Crouch will be a reserve as he always has been. Problem with Crouch is that despite his size he isn't very strong and isn't very good with his head. He's good technically and isn't a bad player at all, but Carroll has the potential to be about ten times the player Crouch can ever be.
                        Forwards.......

Agree 100%, mate of mine said 'Carroll is just a better built version of Crouch' - pathetic comment.
I half rate Crouch myself but Carroll has loads more power, he's better in the air and he's more mobile. Not to mention a far better finisher.

Carroll can score with his left, right, with his head. Scores all types of goals too.

They couldn't even burn the shirt, that's why it was funny.
