It ****s me off when people slag off players, who may not be doing the business, but are clearly trying.

I'll never slag off any players/coaches/managers of LFC unless they cheat the fans. Carroll isnt doing that, he's putting in the effort and that's all we have a right to demand.

The fact he is not producing is one thing but his work rate is extremely poor.

He needs to show some aggressiveness and show some desire that he wants the ball and I don't see any of that yet.

not yesterday it wasn't, ****ing hell he was chasing back to our box and getting tackles in. He did exactly what was asked of him and did it for the team. You only have to see the training grounds pics (that you post like a stalker hunts his next virginal victim) to see him laughing and getting on with the other players. Seems very much a team man.

Little more than what he did in other games this year still far from being enough imo.

I don't expect him to have the work rate of Luis and/or Kuyt but I do expect him to show at least on some ocasion why we spent this kind of money on him.

Btw, when people say 'he should be making his own goals for 35m' an such like, they probably don't mean that he personally, Mr Andrew Carroll should be doing x and y. They really mean that 'he' (Liverpool's replacement for Torres and record signing by some distance) should be doing these things. Is this not pretty obvious?

Yes and he is one of the fastest we have in the squad but still he's never on time in the box to be on the receiving end of Downing, Enrique etc crosses.

His biggest attribute is physical presence and he is currently not using it to his advantage.

In stoppage time yesterday, having been dicked 4-0 and embarrassed, we were still singing, chanting the players and Kenny's name and applauding them off, with them applauding back to show their appreciation for the support. That's what it's ****ing about, unity between players, fans and club

The problem with all that is the majority of players really couldnt give a **** about LFC or any other football club for that matter. They're there to pick up a huge wad of cash and to feed there egos.

Those days are long gone, which has had a knock on effect to a lot of fans, myself included. Its hard to stay passionate and loyal when its frequently not reciprocated. Offer them more money and a chance to walk into a ready made title winning team and most of them would **** off without looking back.

We bought the players to provide him with the support he needs but he also has to do his share if he wants to be successful.

How many times Downing or Enrique would make the run on the left and cross the ball and not find him there or how many times the same players had to slow down cause he wasn't there.

He needs to be aggressive, he needs to instill his will and physical presence in 6-yard box and he is not doing that atm.
