I don't think he has it in him to be world class or anything else. He's a decent player no more. He'd do well in a strong squad fighting for the league, cl etc.

I'm sure that hasn't helped at times but it's evident when other players are on the ball too and when he has played out right like today.

Enrique's balls to Downing were generally poor and always short. Downing is prepared to make runs down the left but isn't given the service, or the ball is delayed to the point where's run wouldn't be effective

Enrique sometimes gets a bit too close to him as well and forces Downing into the corner.

He's amazing defensively Jose, but going forward he could use some work.

Enrique was excellent again in defence - just needs to work on when to hold onto the ball and when to play it quick. It can be so frustrating seeing him hold onto the ball when there's a good pass on.

As for Downing he was pretty much his usual self - however did well for the goal. Hope he kicks on.
