I am sure that someone on here once said that a right footed Downing would be a Championship player. Well, whatever I thought of him he is here or will be imminently so I can only but wish him the best and hope he proves himself.

Throughout his career I have to say Downing always struck me as the kind of player whose shoulders drop and disappears out of the game when his team are struggling. Just always had that impression of him - I hope the reality at Liverpool will be very different.

I think telling Downing he can leave & then playing him out of position when Robinson or Johnson (with Wisdom at rb) could've played is just Hodgson-esque!
Sorry but like Hodgson, Rodgers' CV is not good enough at the moment to manage a club the size of LFC - end of!
