Must admit though, i jumped off my chair with joy when he delivered that first time ball to Sturridge for his goal, had he taken a touch the chance could have been gone, lovely stuff.

If only he showed that sort of skill and conviction consistently.

tbf lately he has against certain sides, but over a season...i'm not so sure he ever will, that's up to BR to work that one out and decide his future.

I think he has done alright recently. If he keeps it up, Ive no problems with keeping him around. He proved he is an asset in that game.

6 assists for the season now I think.

Yep, no denying that, but players that don't do it over a season can cost a top side dearly, a player with equal talent but who's more consistently good would help us more.

But as i say, that's for Br to work out, i could see Downing as a squad player, if he could be good when he was called on.

No doubts he is improving and he must be extremely grateful because he has been given every opportunity to prove himself, unlike a few others. There is still a glimmer of hope for him to save his career with us.

Downing has done OK but he's still looking cowardly when it counts, ie, against United.

Yep, and this is why he will never be quite good enough. But against the likes of Norwich he should be a decent option for us.

He's done okay which is about as well as he'll ever do. Appalling for a £20m signing. I'd rather we sold him for £8m or so and reinvested that in someone who can properly produce. No interest in keeping him at all. Sell in the summer.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think Rodgers has man managed some of these players really well, and deserves credit for it. I thought Enrique and Downing were gonners for us earlier this season.

Makes me wonder on Joe Cole. Maybe Rodgers thought he was beyond help.

Enrique definitely, Downing meh...Henderson I think was more by accident than design seeing as he tried to flog him on the cheap. I think he made a mistake there, and to his credit he seems to have recognised it.

Think we need to forget the price tag on him. Whats done is done and thats a mistake the club will learn from.

Pointless getting rid though if we dont have replacements. Even if we get one in, it wont be enough as there isn't really anyone else who can play in his position at the club at the moment. So in that respect I dont mind him around. If I recall he isn't on mega money is he?

                              Clearly.

All said and done I personally think we still need better in both Enrique's and Downing's positions.
