Thanjk you.

Rodgers did also mention wanting a left back, so would that count as a replacement in your eyes?
We'd have Suarez, Sterling, Assaidi, Ince, Sturridge and Borini as our front six.
I'd not mind seeing a LB coming in alongside the Sturridge and Ince signings in place of Downing, we do need depth in the squad though hence he should go only if we replace him in the squad on top of who we're apparently bringing in anyway.
Maybe, and I have no evidence of this at all, it was aimed at the Fulham fans at the ground not that there were many but I would presume they might have come up with "what a waste of money" for Downing?
Can sort of see what you mean but it was in front of the kop. And I don't think the Fulham fans sang anything along those lines - Villa fans the previous week were though
I hate Downing as much as the next person but he had a great game and i wouldn't read to much into his celebration.
I'm the next person, Dane and for what it's worth I don't hate him. Of course he's been incredibly frustrating to watch and offered very little return until the last few games.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
I remember I was asking my mate who is a Villa supporter how good Downing was prior to us signing him (I was under the impression he was ****e but maybe my mate would give me some hope). My mate said "If Messi is a 10/10, then Downing is a 7/10". I think my mate was wrong

i had the same conversation with several villa fans at different times. they all said he was their most consistent performer, most often man of the match and their player of the season.
before the signing was a done deal, i asked if they had to keep one, either downing or ashley young, which one would you want to keep. they almost all said downing, as they felt young was a better player but he rarely put in the effort.
makes you realise that picking a good player from another team is no guarantee that he will fit in to our team. look at the whole chad candidates
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
Liverpool winger Stewart Downing not expecting to move on in Januarylink
Stewart Downing claims he has never wanted to leave Liverpool and hopes his return to form will earn him an extended stay.
The England international found himself facing up to an uncertain future at Anfield when it was revealed that Brendan Rodgers was prepared to listen to offers in January.
With Downing out of the first-team picture at that time, he was left frustrated and puzzled on the sidelines.
A man who demanded a £20million transfer fee when moving to Merseyside from Aston Villa in 2011 has, however, knuckled down, forced his way back into the side and produced arguably his best performances in a Liverpool shirt over recent weeks.
Downing is now hoping to stay put, with the 28-year-old saying: "I wanted to stay, I didn't want to leave but it was out of my hands.
"I was out of the team and frustrated and I said if something big came up I'd look at it. We had that conversation and, to be honest, I thought I was on my way in January.
"I was a little bit surprised when he (Rodgers) said I could go. He came in and was pleased with me at the start and then all of a sudden things changed quickly and I could go.
"I don't know who makes that decision but one minute I was being told I was doing well and the next I was told I could go. It was a bit confusing.
"But it is a kick up the backside. I then had nothing to lose as I was going. If it was a gee-up for me then maybe it's worked because the performances are coming now."
Downing netted his first Premier League goal for Liverpool on Saturday, as the Reds hammered Fulham 4-0, and he hopes he has done enough to convince Rodgers that he is worth having around.
"The good thing is we have had open dialogue," he added.
"I speak to him if I have a problem and if he has something to say to me he can speak to me, so from that point it has been good.
"He has been straight with me and said if something comes up in January them we'd look at it but if he's saying I'm staying then it's a funny old game football.
"The only thing I can do is play well and make him keep me and pick me and that is all I am trying to do."
After watching that celebration over and over again there is no doubt in my my mind that that "shhhh" was directed towards the LFC fans, and anyone that says different is fanciful or attentively weird.
