I was hoping QPR would sign him. We should get £10m for him.

I can see that argument. I'll put that down of 'reasons for vague hope' in case we fail to find a buyer for him.Originally posted by Rowan View PostHis saving grace may be that, while expectations of a more combustable workrate are required when with Brenny and the Reds, there is a clear allocation of role and responsibility in the structure. It's probably more likely that Rodgers will say 'I want you to do this and this is how you'll do it' where as Kenny expected a more fluid and unrestricted style of play.
Unfortunately for him last year's extreme levels of crapness probably means we won't have to suffer the trauma of finding out if that's true

Maybe we could make a Michael Owen-esq promotional poster for him with key selling points such as 'might be ok if you tell him exactly what to do' and 'left footed' on it.Originally posted by dww View PostI can see that argument. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

True but in all fairness he is absolutely ****ing ****e and is a gutless wimp..... just sayinOriginally posted by Alex View PostHe is still a Liverpool player, and no matter what his form was like he doesn't deserve some of the vitriol coming from our fans.
He is a big boy, he is a millionaire and at the end of the day he has the last laugh.

Every summer we acknowledge the mistakes made in the past. Make a big hue and cry about ensuring that this wont repeat and then make a blunder which is twice as bad.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post
Normally time heals these sort of wounds but if anything in these cases it seems to get worse. I'll never get my head around it.

Last two summers have definitely been the worst for a while, last two windows can be ranked up there with the worst ever.Originally posted by peekay View PostEvery summer we acknowledge the mistakes made in the past. I think he would have been as good if not better that Riera in the system that Rafa had established but the key to that was the strength at CM. One wide players job was essentially to increase the space in the middle and take advantage if the opposition put number into that area.
He's perhaps the least suitable member of the squad for the move to Rodgers methods where each player has to take a lot more responsibility.
