Hating this. I feel like this is a permanent problem for us, always paying mediocre players superstar wages and then having to subsidise their wages at another club or pay them off.

While we probably have a few more than most, I think its the same for all the top clubs.

I think we'll only get £7million for him max. The time to get rid was the summer, but now everyone knows he isn't wanted and we haven't used him much.

We can hope Stoke or Fulham come in for him and offer the cash. Strangely enough, those two clubs were also linked with Henderson late August.

Thing is he's not ****, he's a decent player for a mid-table side where there isn't the pressure to perform.

His mental weakness is his biggest problem and why he's not suited to us but we should still be able to get a decent fee for him

Yup technically good but mentally fragile.

However, given he's probably on a decent wage with us I fear a transfer fee will reflect a likely cut in wages: £5-8m max would be my guess.

he was ok last season but very unlucky - he was the player with the most chances created without an assist in europe. thats unlucky for me.

i think a different manager would have gotten more out of our current squad players like downing, henderson and carroll.

I'd be happy with £8 Million for him (think West Ham, Stoke maybe Sunderland) and put that straight to use on well someone useful.

£8m would be good but I'm not sure anyone would be willing to pay that atm.

Also his wages could be an issue as no midtable club would be willing to pay him what he is getting with us.

If (big if) for £8m I'd like us to add few more and put the bid in for Dries Mertens but in reality I can see us going after Walcott instead.
