Of course they won't... they'll focus on what a miscarriage of justice it is.
Don't be silly. I think we're forgetting that Anton Ferdinand is also English.
They won't print anything like 'Racist' but he will rightfully get plenty of stick around football grounds. Big difference between the abuse he gets and the abuse Suarez gets is that it hurts Suarez, possibly due to the unfairness of it, whereas Terry couldn't give a ****
You just know if they could the papers would be calling Anton a lying cunt and have that splashed on the front page tomorrow and how lying about terry and forcing him to retire from the 3 lions has all but ended englands chances of winning the WC in 2014.
Wonder if the papers will have racist splashed across their pages tomorrow.... Somehow i doubt it.
if they did, with terry [brave john] already being found "not guilty" in a court of law, would they leave themselves open to a libel writ...
terry [brave john] is no doubt a knob, who thinks hes big and hard and all that, and he may have tried to wind up little ferdie [anton] with racist taunts, but maybe he will never be called a racist by the papers.
the fans at the grounds might, though
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
Well if we wanted evidence of how xenophobic football and the media are we now have it. Terry is convicted of making racist remarks and there's barely a murmur from the media despite there being clear video evidence. Apparently because of his not guilty verdict there is a sense of injustice about this ruling. Listening to Pat Nevin describe the judgement as 'unsettling' and 'not quite right' on the radio was amazing. Apparently the FA shouldn't now be finding someone guilty on the basis of one man's word against another...
This will be brushed under the carpet with the minimal amount of fuss and a genuine showing of sympathy for Terry. Obviously if a foreign player allegedly makes remarks that can be interpreted as racist in Spanish to another foreign player he should be strung up.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Has he ****. He was straight in there last time, like a ****ing whippet. Not a peep this time. Nothing. Nothing on Sky Sports (he was all over it during the Suarez thing), nothing at all on his Twitter.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
If we'd have had someone competent in charge at Anfield the Suarez case would never have come to pass let alone see the player receive an 8 game ban. This Terry verdict shows how bad a job we did in protecting our player.
It boiled my piss when I had a look at the Sky News app last night, the actual headline and story were something along the lines of "Brave John Terry leads Chelsea by example to win".
The story made him out to be the victim, insisting that after a draining 4 hour hearing etc he bravely put on the Chelsea shirt and never once looked like he was effected by the stressful situation.
