I know there are England players from all over the country, but England is just a London club to me. I can't stand all that cockney bollocks. I'm a Liverpool supporter, why would I support England? Obviously I want our players to do well whenever they play for their country, but all I really care about is that they return unscathed.

There was enough talent on that pitch on Wednesday to have an amazing team.

Capello had them playing very good football, and would have shown much more of a performance in the Euros than Roy's ****house defensive tactics.

Saying all that I rarely watch international football anyway since its **** and you end up with a team of players you dislike immensely. however with a fair few liverpool players now involved, the worst of the utd lot now gone, its a much easier watch than say 10-15 years ago when we had neville, scholes etc. That's what killed it for me.

However I do love seeing people connect and sing the national anthem be it ours or anyone else's with full gusto and emotion. The rugby lads do it best.

It was attacking football. We scored something ridiculously like 44 goals in 10 qualifiers. 5-0 winners in Croatia or something like that.

Did you see how we went out with a wimper against Italy in 2012 European Championship? That was the most eye-dryingly boring 120 minutes of football I have ever seen. In my life. Ever. We had eight shots at goal (four on target) compared 31 shots at goal (18 on target), surrendered possession to the Italians (37% to 63%) and held on for a famous draw.



Such is Roy's desire not to lose, we never went for the win. If that's what we've got to look forward to in the summer, I can't wait. Roy Hodgson's win percentage for England is 56% which is a massive increase on his 38.64% at any English top flight club (Blackburn, Fulham, Liverpool, West Brom). However, it still falls way short of Fabio Capello's win percentage of 66.7% (the highest of any England manager).

I'm Australian so willing England to fail on the international sporting stage is somewhat of a national pastime but, having lived in England, I'd generally support them over the majority of other countries.

Saying that, I find it impossible to cheer on a team comprised of ******s like Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Rooney, Lampard, etc., and have therefore derived extra pleasure from England's recent tournament performances. This time around though I like most of the team, and so would have no problem wishing them luck were it not for Hodgson.

Errrr because its International football we are talking about. If the players are supposed to be the best we as a nation can put together than surely the manager should be included in that? Its not hard to understand.

I think Hodgson is fairly **** and his club record doesn't come close to Capello. Its not a competition of who is best between them. I just think if football is to proceed with this charade of international football then the manager and coaching staff should be from the same country. Nothing will EVER change my opinion on this.
