So its looks like Spurs are the 3rd club to think they've signed Siggy in this window. Perhaps he'll eventually snub them for a 4th club!

I think we are still showing signs of being poor when it comes to negotiating deals. It's a reputation we've had for years now. People can disagree all they want but no-one heard about Spurs until this past week and look how quickly they seem to have wrapped up the deal. However, it's standard procedure when it comes to Liverpool football club. As always we move slow. I also get the feeling we came in with a derisory offer for Sigurdsson probably thinking he'll come to us because of the "we are Liverpool football club" factor. That may have worked back in the 80's but it's not the case now. Players will more often than not go where the money is. If we think Sigurdsson could be an important member of our squad then why not match the £55k which is what Spurs are believed to have offered? Call me a drama queen but this is not a good start to Rodgers's Liverpool tenure and it's not even his fault.

Well... There's strength in depth... and there's just plain depthOriginally posted by PTP View Postreally not that excited by this at all - it was a nothing transfer going under the radar to swansea a month or so ago -
all of a sudden, we get linked with him and it becomes a drawn out transfer saga
do we even need him??
with gerrard/lucas/henderson/adam/shelvey/spearing/aquilani/cole all already on the books is he going to bring anything to us?
from that list - me personally - i'd rather sell adam, aquilani or cole and spearing and then go and sign a ****ing good centre mid who can run/tackle/pass
new mid/lucas/henderson/gerrard/shelvey and one of aquilani/cole - surely we have enough cover.
Our squad just seems to be a load of old bollocks really. We've just filled it with absolute tat and if any area of the pitch highlights that abundantly it's our midfield. Cole, Adam, Spearing.. all absolute liabilities and without Lucas in the team I wouldn't trust the rest as far as I could throw them. Sigurdsson was a step in the right direction. More combustable, eye for a goal, solid within a system etc. I haven't even got a clue what the best place within a system is for half of the carthorses we currently employ.
I say we buy a right hard ******* with technical and tactical acumen, go hell for leather for Sigurdsson. Keep Lucas, Henderson and Gerrard, loan Shelvey out somewhere and shoot the rest.
Oh, forgot about Downing.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

It is a massive concern and I hope eventually we get to know the proper truth. Our contract must have been so poor as all the people who know him best like the Icelandic Jouno's, Swansea and Reading fans are adamant that Gylfi doesn't care about money, its his third priority after playing time and who the Manager is and his plan.

Do we actually have someone negotiating our transfers for us or are we just winging it? I mean, whats our structure exactly?A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. Another fantastic transfer by LFC by the sounds of it. Who the **** negotiates transfers for LFC?
I mean it just seems like we are a laughing stock and get out negotiated every time.
I'd imagine it goes like this
LFC: Hi Sig our offer is half a curly Whirly and a free packet of peanuts at lunch time
Sig: ?????????????
LFC: Ok on top of that free dinners in the canteen
Sig closes door and lfc left holding their dicks in the wind again.

Peeps!
Keep it real!
Swansea's has Gylfi on loan up to 30th June
Gylfi has been on holliers
We cannot do anything until 1st July
So what if there are others who want the player, we have the trump card in Rodgers
Patience, all will be revealed in time!
I'm confident we'll sign him as I 'm sure his agent is doing his best to get him a decent contract knowing that his client's preference is at Anfield so is using smokescreens & mirrors to force the club from their stance.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

This could be a blessing in disguise if losing out on Siggy means we get Ramirez.Originally posted by Cisseshairdresser View PostBBC, Ben Smith, Jenkins, and the fella from the Echo who has contacts are all saying now its Spurs.
I think we can safely put this to bed now baring a U turn to end all U turns.
I bet Buck is ****ing raging right now.

Ian Ayre.......tosser.
He seems to have crawled all over every fockin mofo at the club to get the power of running LFC. By the looks of it, he couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
To be honest, although i am happy enough with Rodgers as manager (but would've preferred Rafa) the whole manager recruitment process was a fockin car crash as well....
No doubt we can watch all this bollix in our upcoming Mersey-Shore style ****e telly show......
