I'd quite like to know how many times he actually touched the ball. It was like seeing George Weah's cousin play, but without the enthusiasm. Unbelievably poor.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I think if he has any morals he would just accept mutual termination with no more pay & stop stealing money from the club!Originally posted by clanhuman View PostWhen does his contract run out? I'd be tempted to just offer him mutual termination of his contract. I think we should pay the price. Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

It's pretty sad all around. There was once a good player there but sometimes players for many different reasons can be just plain done before their time and poor Joe is one of them.
I can't honestly think of any level of professional football that would suit him now. I also have a terrible feeling he will just sit it out and pick up the money.

Game just completely bypassed him on all levels. He genuinely might as well have been invisible.Originally posted by Joey Jones View PostWhy was he so bad last night then - His attitude? Work rate? Passing?I could not dig, I dared not rob:

I've had a hunt but can't find any stats anywhere. That might be for the best, I can't remember the last time I saw a player look that out of his depth at this level. It's hard to see him ever getting another chance, we're not in the business of playing with 10 men unless we can help it... It's a cliche that is banded around a lot, but last night he genuinely might as well not bothered taking to the field.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostI'd quite like to know how many times he actually touched the ball. I think we should hang on 'till Jan, there's always a chance either Sam Allardyce (West Ham init) or Mark Hughes & his bizarre fascination with over paid & over-the-hill players might come to our rescue. We'll probably still have to pay him off a bit but perhaps less than the full 100k/week.Originally posted by Joey Jones View PostSounds like he's missed his last chance to prove he's worth anything to the club. Pay off on the cards I think.

If we need bodies for any more games, say in the UEFA or something, I think I'd rather someone like Coady or Adorjan got a game now ahead of him. They might not remotely be at the level we'd want for the first team but at least they'd try.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
