I think if he has any morals he would just accept mutual termination with no more pay & stop stealing money from the club!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

It's pretty sad all around. There was once a good player there but sometimes players for many different reasons can be just plain done before their time and poor Joe is one of them.

I can't honestly think of any level of professional football that would suit him now. I also have a terrible feeling he will just sit it out and pick up the money.

Why was he so bad last night then - His attitude? Work rate? Passing?

Game just completely bypassed him on all levels. He genuinely might as well have been invisible.

Sounds like he's missed his last chance to prove he's worth anything to the club. Pay off on the cards I think.

I've had a hunt but can't find any stats anywhere. That might be for the best, I can't remember the last time I saw a player look that out of his depth at this level. It's hard to see him ever getting another chance, we're not in the business of playing with 10 men unless we can help it... It's a cliche that is banded around a lot, but last night he genuinely might as well not bothered taking to the field.

I think we should hang on 'till Jan, there's always a chance either Sam Allardyce (West Ham init) or Mark Hughes & his bizarre fascination with over paid & over-the-hill players might come to our rescue. We'll probably still have to pay him off a bit but perhaps less than the full 100k/week.

If we need bodies for any more games, say in the UEFA or something, I think I'd rather someone like Coady or Adorjan got a game now ahead of him. They might not remotely be at the level we'd want for the first team but at least they'd try.

We would clearly let him go for free if anyone was willing to take him. But he won't agree to a termination because he won't get those wages elsewhere.

The only option is to go down the HR route and find a way to sack him. Spike his food and make him fail a drugs test. Easy peasy, job done

Perhaps if West Ham take him, we could give them 10% discount on a fee for Caroll?
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Sort of a BOGOF deal? I like that.
