He was the worst I've seen. Couldn't control simple passes, seemed to have no control over the weight of his passes, and basically just ran around booting people. I was better than him.

I think his point is more that we've spent the money now. So it's whether we would get someone better for the resale value that is how we have to judge things.

I think a little perspective is needed. He looked good before, then his form dropped off a cliff. Something had to have happened around that time. His pass completion stats for early season were around the high 90s. Hardly a **** player.

Maybe he needs to adapt his game as the season progresses. Maybe his fee looks high at the moment. None of these things make him a bad player.

He was very good for Swansea last season, also named Welsh player of the year. Damning with faint praise I know. But he beat out Bale for that.

he almost never provided the killer passes that led to goals. his passes were mostly safe options, to retain possession. nothing wrong with retaining possession, but there was no positive gain from him being on the pitch.

Seriously, the Bolton game he mis-hit a good 80% of his passes, properly knocking them 10 or 15 yards away from their intended targets. He was absolutely diabolical.
