I loved watching that Barca team with an immense front line chosen out of IIRC Overmars, Kluivert, Luis Enrique, Rivaldo and Zenden

I don't know what it was about Cocu, but I always thought he was massively underrated. Such an incredibly well rounded and versatile midfielder. Never had any one asset that wowed you, but did ****ing everything damn well and all the time.

No love for Henry in here either.

My favorite non LFC premier league forward by a distance.

On his day he was unstoppable. (Just ask Carra )

          Overmars Zidane Nedved
          Romario

Subs: Chilavert, Thuram, Desailly, Seedorf, Figo, Bergkamp, Batistuta
Some great names there, in particular Baresi and Maldini.

Going back to Italian Serie A football from their golden age I used to love watching Lentini. He never fulfilled his price tag but loved watching him try. Milan were amazing in those days.

Also would say Rui Costa, Juninho x 2 - loved the Boro midget and the Lyon player.

Yeah I really liked Rui Costa and some of his Portuguese teammates like Conceicao. Thinking international, was a big fan of Chilean partnership Salas and Zamerano. Oh and how likeable were the Nigerian team with Okocha, Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Yekini, Taribo West and Kanu I was properly willing them on

Maldini is easily my favourite non-Liverpool player of all time. Legend

That's all very glamorous but it was Cyrille Regis for me.

Liked him as a player but always thought he was a bit of a prick, still do.

I think your two thread approach has merit

You can't compare a Keith Houchen or a Steve Foster with a Stoichkov or a Donadoni.

That Johnny Metgod screamer of a free kick was one of my favourite goals from my childhood. What a ****in hit that was.
