At times he's got the touch of a rapist, IMO. He can't finish, he's no good in the air, he's painfully slow. Yes he works amazingly hard and closes down but I don't think he's particularly adept at finding space and I honestly believe he's not better than Crouch. In fact I know he isn't.

I know who I'd be starting every week, and he'd score more goals.
I think that's very, very harsh. If he's painfully slow what does that make Crouch? Glacial perhaps?

I think he's a pretty good footballer, he plays the right ball most of the time.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

      Robbie?

For what It's worth I think that both Kuyt and Robbie would work well together. Kuyt isn't an out and out striker he plays off the striker. If Bellamy had made a better pass yesterday or Crouch had headed back across goal instead of chesting down and shooting Kuyt would have scored and been the hero. He was is decent positions both times.

Momo was far worse than any player in our team yesterday so why don't we have a thread on him?

Maybe I'm being harsh - I'm really, really down - but my patience snapped with Kuyt yesterday. Almost every time he got (and consequently lost) the ball, I ended up screaming "GET HIM OFF".

That is a very fair point. That wonderful tackle on Ronaldo aside, it was an embarrassing performance and probably his worst for us. Some of the things he did with the ball at his feet....what the ****? My wife could've done better. What was that all about when he hoofed the ball straight up into the air?

I'd forgotten about that. I couldn't help laughing.

That was what you would class as the "touch of a rapist" He was woeful for us yeaterday and despite being a good tackler is a limited player. 3 or 4 times he ended up out on the right in the second half and instead of crossing when he had players lining up in the box he cut the ball back to Steve Finnan and the move broke down. If he'd crossed we'd have had a far better chance of scoring. The fact he never crossed shows you what Momo himself thinks of his passing ability.

                That's bad, man!

I thought Kuyt was okay yesterday and had Bellamy put in a better pass he would've scored.

I realise it must be harder for you being a Manc, er, I mean, living in Manchester but as someone said above (I think it was Mr Manson) really it doesn't actually change anything.

And dare I say it, it's only football.

That's a fair point, and maybe my judgement is harsh and premature...but I don't envisage too much of an improvement next season.

Aye, I laughed my arse off when I saw that. Couldn't for the life of me understand why he did that or what he was trying to do

My concerns also, i cant see him suddenly start to bang them in left right and centre, IMO he doesnt seem to have that in his locker.
I think the key to success for Kuyt is getting the right partner alongside him.
If we finally get that elusive goalscorer next season then with Kuyt as the second striker i think we might see what he's all about.

If Kuyt followed the action, he would score a goal. But I guess Bellamy is too quick for the rest of the team to follow.

                            Bellers was immense yesterday!

Arsenal fans said that about Henry, Pires, Ljungberg etc.. Chavs said that about Drogba, Joe Cole, Makelele etc... Filth fans said it about Saha, Evra etc... and look at these players now.

Kuyt also has alot of distraction away from football at the moment aswell with his dads illness. I'm not saying that's a factor but it's a point worth noting.

I honestly don't think he's as bad as you've suggested, mate.
