Yea it would be brill but it's a huge risk to take and the premiership is completely different from La Liga(eg Morientes), Owen and Huntelaar anyday 2 for the price of one.
PS not sure about the sex wee, hope Eto doesn't read or he won't come for sure....

Eto'o would be awesome, unlike Shevchenko, he's not getting old or slowing down. And he'd love the wee!

          Don't want him back anyway.
Too high a risk and a tainted legacy.

            fact

to be honest, like all fans, i'm fickle. I'd cheer him if he scored.

Newcastle were happy enough to grant him the option - it's not like he'd be doing something behind their backs.

It's hard to know what we might do in the same circumstances.
yeah i take your point. i'd find it very difficult to take money from fans for 2 years and give nothing back though, only to get fit while they paid me and then give the fruits of my fitness to someone else.

**** the little ****. He wanted to leave for riches and Champions League glory so he can **** off. I dont want to read this bull**** propaganda that paints him as the innocent victim that got screwed. His fate was in his own hands, he never made a decision that he didn't think was best for Michael Owen.

Still, even if he goes on to have a fallow career, at least he can say he played for "the best club in the world" :whatever:

why are you saying grow up? at what point did i regress?

so what its a capitalist society. what is your point?

that its fair enough just to screw everyone but yourself?

i can see the point neil made but i don't see what your point is at all.

you just seem to be saying that if we ever object to someone taking an i'm alright jack route that we should "grow up".

                  i don't buy that i'm afraid.

he'd have a right to trigger the clause yes, and neil offers a mitigating argument, but i'd say the newcastle public would have every right to feel deeply let down by him.

what do i need to grow up about?

Sadly, he isn't what he was. Now he is like Kewell, a good footballer with a wrecked body.
A player can make a comeback after a long injury and be better than before. He has spent the time injured building up the muscles he had problems with before, so his hamstrings will probably not be a big problem anymore.

The problem will be how much pace he has lost and no one have any answer that question yet.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Dont get me wrong, i'm not saying we should sign a crocked player who'll never be fit to play. But, if he gets some games under his belt, i think he'd be a good signing. £9m in this day and age is peanuts and for the goals he'd score, i'd be overjoyed to see him come back.
                        couldnt agree more.
9m is **** all nowadays. And 9m for a player that when fit could easily bag us 15-20 prem goals. Granted, he no longer has formula 1 legs but he is considerably more quicker than what we have got.
Pair him up with Tevez, Kuyt, Villa or Crouch and we could very well be looking at number 19 next year imo.
That's my new book. 'Shut the **** Up, by Dr. Denis Leary'. Patients come in. 'Doctor I-' Shut the **** up! NEXT!! 'Doctor, I've got this-' SHUT THE **** UP!! NEXT! 'He made me feel so much better. He just told me to shut the **** up. Nobody ever told me that before!'

He's not stupid, he knew exactly what he was doing when he left us.

Now that it hasn't worked out it appears that things have changed for Michael.

I was really annoyed with Stevie G when it looked like he was joining the chavs but he knew where he was meant to be.

I wish Owen had made the same decision a couple of years ago

                            Too late little man!
