**** it. It's not worth worrying about. The training regime was altered, and we have looked better for it. Rafa will study, as always, to find a replacement who fills the void Pako has left and we will be back leaner, meaner and stronger, and if the reports are anything to go by, more harmonious.

...or maybe Rafa's ego is on the rise?

As in this is when Paco is best utilised during the season?

The question is how much of a partnership were they? Do the sum of parts equal greatness and the individual parts equal jack ****.

The big deal is that he's worked directly with Pako for over 10 years (?). He clearly trusts (trusted) him and he needs to now find another strong-minded number 2 who he'll trust. He also needs to find the polar opposite to Phil Neal - i.e. someone who isn't a snivelling yes man.

              Easier said than done.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Didn't somebody come in as a 1st team coach over the summer, some sport scientist type?

Also, he is/was the Assistant Manager - his duties would have extended way beyond the simple physical training aspects...

                      From his wiki article...

Pako Ayesteran was born in Spain 5 February 1963. He followed Rafael Benítez from Valencia to Liverpool F.C. in July 2004 and was the Reds' assistant manager up to August 31st, 2007.

Contrary to popular belief, I have huge genitals.

That trust has to work both ways though

I dont see one man replacing Pako

I think two will be brought in

One as fitness coach, one as assistant (or coach if Miller is promoted)
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Benitez said: "Paco has told me he wants to leave, apart from that I cannot say any more. We will have to assess the situation."

If Miller is promoted then I'd assume only a fitness coach would come in.
